Free RPG Day is back on June 27th! Every year, participating game stores open their doors to welcome new and veteran players alike for a day of tabletop roleplaying discovery. It’s the perfect occasion to try a new game, meet fellow players, and dive into an adventure.
This year, Edge Studio is proud to bring three quickstart adventures to the event, spanning three wildly different worlds. Whether you’re investigating supernatural horrors in the Roaring Twenties, herding chaotic kittens on a lakeside outing, or fighting for survival in a zombie-infested medieval nightmare, there’s something for everyone at the table.
Arkham Horror — The Roleplaying Game: Three Days to the Big Easy
Three Days to the Big Easy takes investigators aboard the Gulf Queen, a glamorous paddleboat steaming down the Mississippi toward New Orleans in time for Mardi Gras. Jazz fills the Grand Saloon, illegal liquor flows freely, and the Mob keeps a watchful eye on its floating speakeasy. But when a passenger turns up dead in the river, something sinister begins to unravel aboard the riverboat. The body count is rising, the Mob wants answers, and the investigators have until the Gulf Queen reaches port to uncover what is really going on — before it drowns them all in a tide of blood.
This Free RPG Day quickstart includes everything needed to play a full introductory session of Arkham Horror — The Roleplaying Game: a concise rules overview, the Three Days to the Big Easy adventure, six pre-generated investigators, and ready-to-use NPCs. Just add players and dice.
Dungeons & Kittens: An Afternoon Outing
An Afternoon Outing includes everything you need to start your journey into the world of Dungeons & Kittens. A group of kittens plans on enjoying a relaxing day by the lake, but things are never easy or peaceful when kittens are involved. Each scene is carefully set up to allow players to take turns as the GM. The text guides even the newest and youngest GM on how to set a scene, narrate the action, and pull the players into the story. The adventure includes characters and all the rules you need. You only need to supply players and dice.
Plaguebearer: Night Hunt
Plaguebearer: Night Hunt throws players into the desperate aftermath of the Black Plague, in a medieval world overrun by the undead. Starving and hunted, the Survivors follow a mysterious farmer into the blighted Wolf Wood in search of a hidden food stash, only to discover that something far worse than ordinary zombies is nesting among the trees.
This Free RPG Day quickstart includes everything needed to play a fast, introductory session of Plaguebearer: a quick rules overview, the Night Hunt adventure, pre-generated Survivors, and ready-to-use enemies. It is designed to let players leap straight into the action and experience the grim, cinematic survival horror of the Plaguebearer RPG.
